Prioritizing safety in a month full of illusions
To go straight to the February 2025 Tarot Spread, scroll down.
I debated writing predictions for this month. I say this as a tarot reader, astrologer, occultist, witch… anyone who is keeping up with world’s play-by-play can make half of these predictions.
Last year, I typed my fingers raw telling you to build community. Well, if you heeded my advice last year, then you have people to support and people who are supporting you.
Now my message is slightly different: keep your community safe. However you think you can best do that. However history has taught you to do that. The planetary transits this month show that creativity will be heightened. Get creative.
Keep yourself safe. Keep your family safe. Keep your community safe. That means helping them keep a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, and staying healthy. With that said, here as the astrological transits for February 2025:
February 4 — Venus enters Aries & Jupiter stations Direct in Gemini
Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and harmony, moves into fiery Aries, shifting the tone of relationships and creativity. This transit encourages bold action.
People may feel more impulsive and seek action and freedom. May also lead to hasty decisions or conflicts in negotiations. Nations may take more assertive stances in trade agreements or diplomatic talks, potentially leading to tensions. There could also be a surge in cultural movements that emphasize individuality and self-expression (e.g., protests, artistic revolutions).
Jupiter, the planet of expansion and growth, ends its retrograde in Gemini, bringing clarity and forward momentum to communication, learning, and intellectual pursuits.
February 12 — Full Moon in Leo
This Full Moon illuminates themes of self-expression, creativity, and leadership. Leo’s energy encourages people to step into the spotlight and embrace your individuality and freedoms. Emotions will run high, especially around issues of recognition and pride. A major political or cultural figure may dominate the news, possibly due to a scandal or a bold move. There will be conflict and big egos clashing.
February 14 — Mercury enters Pisces
Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, moves into illusionary Pisces, tampering with logic and enhancing intuition. Some may feel more imaginative and empathetic, but clarity and focus will be harder to maintain due to rampant illusions and misinformation.
Not everything is what it seems.
February 18 — Sun enters Pisces
Pisces season begins. This is a time of heightened sensitivity. The boundaries of institutions are blurred. There may be increased attention on water-related issues (e.g., drinking water, floods, droughts, or oceans). Spiritual and religious movements gain momentum.
February 23 — Mars stations Direct in Cancer
Mars, the planet of action and drive, ends its retrograde in Cancer, bringing momentum to areas related to home, family, and emotional security. Big decisions will need to be made regarding home and family. Safety and security for all will be a conversation.
Emotional tensions that have been brewing (e.g., protests, civil unrest) could come to a head. This is also a time to focus on rebuilding and protecting vulnerable communities.
February 27 — New Moon in Pisces
This New Moon could inspire international cooperation on humanitarian issues, such as refugee crises, climate change, or global health initiatives…out of necessity.
The word for this transit is escapism. Some of it can the usual (dissociation, drinking, distractions, etc), but it could also be people feeling like that they need to escape something…I hope you’re picking up what I’m putting down.
Below are more general predictions.
My grounded, real-world advice is to stock up on water bottles and non-perishables in the first couple of days in February. Get into gardening and growing your own food. Even if you live in an apartment, there are ways to grow food in small pots on your balcony. Take out cash. Only spend money on essentials.
The predictions below are worldwide, so it doesn’t mean you personally will be affected. If you know you are prone to anxiety, skip the following predictions and go straight to the tarot spread. I will not be offended. Protect your mental health.

TAROT SPREAD FOR FEBRUARY 2025
The symbol for the February tarot spread is the lemniscate or the infinity symbol. It’s a reminder that everything ebbs and flows. Bad times aren’t forever, even if it feels that way when you’re in the middle of it. This also applies to other things — powerful people aren’t powerful forever. Empires don’t last forever. Everything that goes up, must come down, and something different will rise up again.
What do we do? We hold on to the center and keep ourselves balanced.
Card 1: How to take bold action
This card will guide you on how to embrace boldness and take decisive action while avoiding impulsiveness. Ask how you can best assert yourself.
Card 2: Clarifying Recent Emotional Confusion
Card 2 helps you navigate emotional intensity and find clarity in matters of home, family, and security, especially during a time when you’re most likely absorbing a lot of misinformation.
Card 3: Finding Balance
At the heart of the lemniscate (infinity symbol) you will find where boldness and sensitivity meet. This card will guide you on how to balance action with compassion, logic with intuition, and individuality with collective needs.
Card 4: Where Your Discernment May Be Vulnerable
We all have our soft spots. We all have beliefs or truths we hold on to despite evidence to the contrary. Believing in something or someone to the point where you ignore concrete evidence is a vulnerability. Anyone can step in and manipulate you with that information. Card 4 is meant to reveal this vulnerability. Meditate on it. And then dismantle it.
Card 5: Your Role in Fostering Community and Unity
You have a role in your community. You just need to step into it. If you don’t know where to start, this card will reveal hints at your role. End the reading by vowing to use the keywords from this card to take action in the real world.
I know this was a long one. I appreciate you taking the time to read, but I will appreciate it more if you use the information above to help each other.
